After an overview of the requirements for modern airports and a look at the trends in both passenger number and cargo volumes, this CPD will look at the global market for airport construction and explore what drives airport roof system design and specification and the impact of geographical location.
The CPD will then examine, in some detail, the type and benefits of the various roof cover boards that are available on the market and their application for airport buildings. Of this selection of cover boards, two types are more frequently specified within the roof build-up of airport terminals, hangars and other airport infrastructure buildings. You’ll learn what they are, why they are selected and the role they play within the roof build-up.
The CPD will then discuss the benefits of using cover boards that form part of FM approved assemblies when specifying for mission critical buildings such as airports.
